This is interesting. One of my best friends was a nurse some years ago. She had to decide between buying a house and getting her Masters as a Nurse Anesthetist. Although I do not clearly remember the details, she credits me for advising her to get the degree first, and then the house. Her income potential increased dramatically, along with her job satisfaction (she steps in while the doctor/anesthesiologist is out of the operating room).
