Interesting that you should have generated this post. I grew up in Alabama and North Carolina, but essentially lived the last 30 years of my life in Los Angeles, and traveled extensively around the country and the world.
Unfortunately, I've concluded that there are geographical differences amongst people in terms of their curiosity. I will not go into the various reasons that I believe that this condition exists, but it is a tad troubling.
